Snoop Dogg denied he was robbed, earlier this week, after reports started to come out that the rapper's expensive studio equipment and luggage was taken out of one of his vehicles. But in a police report, recently obtained by TMZ the rap legend is named as the person who owned the vehicle the stuff was swiped from.

As previously reported, on Monday (Feb. 1), someone called in to the San Francisco police department and reported an automobile burglary. The caller specified that Snoop's silver Suburban had been vandalized, "all the band's equipment, luggage, laptops were taken, their entire show for tomorrow was in the van."

When The Doggfather got wind of the claims he took to Instagram to deny the report. "I'm on the highway to the Super Bowl weekend. TMZ no, they didn't get my shit. My shit with me. False story. Snoop Dogg is on the way to The Bay. They didn't get me they got somebody else," he said.

Now, TMZ has obtained a copy of the police report in which the person who called does specifically name "Snoop Dog" [sic] as the victim of the of theft. It goes on to say, “contact is standing by the van, freaking out about the magnitude of the loss—they might not be able to perform tomorrow night.” The contacts name is redacted from the statement.

Maybe this is one big mix up. Why would Snoop lie about stuff being taken out of his car? Either way, the West Coast OG still performed on schedule the following day.
