While many lawsuits, beefs and back-and-forths have taken place since, Chris Brown's case of alleged assault in a Las Vegas night club has yet to be resolved, with the accuser now taking legal action against Brown.

TMZ reports that just after New Year's Day, Liziane Gutierrez reported to police that Brown had struck her in the eye after she brought a cell phone into a party hosted by the singer. Brown denied the allegations in an Instagram video, insulting Gutierrez and saying she was looking for a payday. The incident looked to be quieting down, as Brown considered suing for defamation and police dropped their investigation due to insufficient evidence.

But now Gutierrez has brought a lawsuit of her own against the singer, filing documents in Clark County, Nevada earlier this week. She is suing for battery, theft and defamation, claiming that her phone was seized upon entering Brown's room at the Palms Hotel and Casino, and that she was hit in her face and/or arm by Brown or a member of his crew. The defamation suit is a result of Brown referring to Gutierrez as "too ugly" to be attending his party in the aforementioned Instagram video.

While Brown has yet to comment on the suit, his manager has taken to Instagram to pen a lengthy response to the initial claims, writing, "Shame to the networks that gave this story life and this liar her 15 minutes. I don’t know what’s more despicable the news outlets making this a lead story or the false accusation who wants her name printed as a victim on TMZ for false fame." We will continue to update this story as news develops.
