Yesterday (Jan. 12), actors Tom Hardy and Leonardo DiCaprio revealed that a line from Bobby Shmurda's "Hot N*gga" almost made the cut for the script of The Revenant. Strange as that may be, what isn't known is Hardy's love for hip-hop. The British actor has had an affinity for rap for a long time. In a 2011 interview with BBC, the Hardy said that he was actually signed as a rapper when he was a teenager.

"I started out rapping when I was 14 or 15," he said. "Because I come from a nice middle-class neighbourhood it was a very hard sell. And I wasn't very good! I used to be with the guy who managed Leela James and Lauryn Hill, Pras, the Fugees and all that. I worked out with (Grammy winning producers) Warren Riker and Gordon Williams. I've recorded loads of stuff but it's never been released."

He continued on to say that he actually recorded an album, "I've got albums, man. My best friend Peanut, he grew up in the South Bronx. He's a very good MC and we still play. It'll come out in a film one day, it'll come out in a character somewhere."

On Instagram, Tom Hardy has a knack for absolutely crushing DubSmash. His videos of lip-syncing Wu-Tang Clan's "C.R.E.A.M.," Dizzee Rascal's "Nutcrackerz" and 50 Cent's "P.I.M.P." have gone viral. 50 himself co-signed the actor's rendition of "P.I.M.P.," claiming Hardy as a future G-Unit artist.
