A few videos circulated the internet earlier this month of Snoop Dogg narrating wildlife in what Jimmy Kimmel Live was calling Plizzanet Earth. The videos were so entertaining in fact, that a petition has been drafted to get Snoop Dogg as the official voice of Planet Earth. "Snoop Dogg has narrated some Planet Earth in the past but yo we need him to narrate full episodes. Sign the petition if you agree," the petition's webpage reads. Thus far, 12,379 people have signed, leaving the petition just 2,621 signatures short of its 15,000 goal.

Snoop himself even got wind of the petition on Thursday (Jan. 28), posting a screengrab to his Instagram page with the caption, "who made this?? lets get this shit going. who want more #PlizzanetEarth ?!"

The petition is the latest piece in Snoop's developing career as a go-to hip-hop personality. The Long Beach rapper was recently a guest on Khloe Kardashian's Kocktails With Khloe, and hosts his own GGN talk show. In November of 2015, it was reported that GGN will move to late night television as the smokers forum was picked up by Revolt TV. Snoop was also recently tapped for an Old Navy commercial, furthering his position as an OG rap artist embraced by the mainstream culture.

If Snoop ends up narrating a full season of Planet Earth, it would add to the rapper's vocal presence, which has increased in recent months. In Nov. 2015, Snoop voiced his outrage over Billboard's 10 Greatest Rappers of All Time list, and joined the growing protest against the 2016 Oscars just this month.
