President Barack Obama is a big fan of Kendrick Lamar and he's not making any secret about it. The leader of the free world held a private meeting with Kendrick Lamar, something very few people will ever get to do. And now, a new interview has revealed just how big of a Kendrick Lamar supporter the president is.

President Obama recently sat down with YouTube personalities Destin Sanlin, SWooZie and Ingrid Nilsen for a conversation dubbed "The YouTube Interview." During the interview portion with SWooZie, the topic of a Kendrick Lamar was brought up.

A question was asked about what would happen if a rap beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake started. Despite Drake's publicized takedown of Meek Mill, President Obama made it clear that he feels Kendrick Lamar would come out the victor in a potential battle.

"You gotta go with Kendrick," President Obama said. "I’m just saying. I think Drake is an outstanding entertainer, but Kendrick… his lyrics. His last album [To Pimp A Butterfly] was outstanding. Best album that I think [I heard] last year.”

If you want to listen to President Obama's answer for yourself, fast forward to the 27 minutes and 20 seconds mark of the above video.

For Kendrick Lamar, getting high praise from President Obama isn't the only matter he can boast about. The rapper racked up an impressive 11 Grammy nominations for this year's upcoming ceremony and will be receiving the key to his hometown of Compton next month.
