During his internet-breaking Twitter spat with Wiz Khalifa this week, Kanye West randomly noted, "[Waves] is actually a Gospel album." At the time, the statement seemed like the ramblings of a mad man; which might not have been too far from the truth. But in hindsight it looks like Yeezus was at least somewhat partially accurate. Pictures recently surfaced of a studio session West had for his new album, and in attendance was none other than gospel entertainer Kirk Franklin, aka The King of Christian Crunk.

The session included more stars than the Summer Jam. Along with Franklin, Andre 3000, 2 Chainz, The-Dream, Kid Cudi, French Montana, Mike Dean and A$AP Bari were also in the studio working on the highly anticipated LP. The now famous notepad of names has some new editions including, hip-hop producer Anthony Kilhoffer, Puff Daddy, DJ Dodger Stadium, the duo of Jerome Potter and Samo Sound Boy. And of course, Kim never left.

TeamKanyeDaily even snagged footage from 2 Chainz's Snapchat of West wide open in the studio, dancing on top of a table and hitting the dab.

West has really been going hard the last few weeks leading up to Waves' Feb. 11 release dated. According to G.O.O.D. Music artist Travi$ Scott, 'Ye isnt't eating or sleeping as he works with reckless abandon to finish the album.

Two weeks ago, Kanye hit the studio with another star-studded crew that included Kendrick Lamar, CyHi the Prynce and Swizz Beatz.
