J. Cole has premiered the second episode of his documentary Road to Homecoming on Vimeo and HBO Go. The episode, titled "Ain't Nothin' Like That," focuses on all of the people who are involved in making a J. Cole live performance go smoothly.

The episode is a fascinating look at all the work that goes into make a live show come together. The documentary gets perspective from the likes of audio engineers and security as to what it takes to get a show ready for the public. This behind the scenes footage also gives viewers a glimpse into the tour life and J.Cole's constant desire to improve.

There is one interesting moment where J. Cole compares himself to Louie C.K. or any comedian as someone essentially practicing their routine. He explains how he saw Louie working out his set at a smaller show and how Cole tries to do the same when he's on tour. With the premiere of the first episode, Cole discussed what this whole documentary series is about.

"These pieces will document some important moments from the last year of my life and give you a lot of insight into the album rollout process, each act of the Forest Hills Drive tour, the Dollar and a Dream tour (Friday Night Lights edition), and some ill perspective on the inner-workings of my career and the important people that help make all this shit happen," Cole said.

A new episode of Road to Homecoming will be released every Wednesday until the premiere of J. Cole Forest Hills Drive: Homecoming debuts on HBO on Jan. 9 at 10pm EST. After that special airs, all of the Road to Homecoming episodes will be removed from the web and will only be available on a future DVD release.
