Stream Montana of 300 and Talley of 300’s New Album

As the year draws to a close, publications have already started rolling out their best-of lists. Albums and mixtapes are catalogued and ranked, champions declared. And while Beyonce's self-titled album in 2013 (and to an extent, D'Angelo's Black Messiah last year) were able to stop the music press in its tracks, albums that come out in December tend to fall through the cracks. Here's hoping that doesn't happen to Gunz N Roses, the full-length collaboration between Chicago upstart Montana of 300 and his silky-voiced partner, Talley of 300. The set can be purchased through iTunes or streamed on Spotify. The LP presumably serves as an appetizer of sorts for a proper full-length debut from Montana.

For those unfamiliar, the Windy City MC started garnering national attention late last year with his "Ice Cream Truck" single, and for trying his hand over a variety of popular beats. As an artist from the city's now-infamous South side, he hopes to follow recent local stars-turned-national forces like Chief Keef, Lil Durk, Chance the Rapper, Vic Mensa and others. In addition to his local and online notoriety, Montana has scored an appearance on Fox's runaway hit drama, Empire, which also counts Chris Rock and several established hip-hop stars among its guests. To bolster the promotion for the album, the pair let loose of the video for "FGE Cypher," which can be seen below:
