Nicki Minaj appeared in court for Meek Mill's parole violation hearing at the Criminal Justice Center in Philadelphia on Thursday (Dec. 10).

The Associated Press reports Nicki, who's Meek's girlfriend, testified and told the judge that she will make sure her boyfriend won't mess up again following the violation. Prosecutors claim the 28-year-old Philly MC violated parole in a 2009 drug and gun case by changing his court-approved travel schedule multiple times and skipping out on taking a drug test.

She also stated that she will help Meek complete his community service requirement and stay organized. "He's not perfect but I can't believe how much he's changed," Minaj said.

Meek was in jail for five months last year for a 2009 drug and gun charge. He was released in December 2014. Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley is threatening to send the former XXL Freshman back to jail because he violated his probation by leaving Philadelphia without a travel voucher. It is speculated that the trip that got Meek in trouble was his attendance at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles on Nov. 22. Nicki Minaj won two AMA awards that night.

Brinkley also stated that Meek submitted a suspicious urine sample. Defense lawyer Frank DeSimone explained to the judge that the music industry "is chaotic" and his client isn't trying to cause trouble. DeSimone also said that the couple is serious about getting married. TMZ also reported that Nicki is set on tying the knot with the Dreamchasers head boss. Meek Mill bought Nicki a huge diamond ring recently that sparked rumors that the couple could be engaged.

No decision was made at today's hearing and Meek is due back in court on Dec. 17.

Aubrey Whelan of The Philadelphia Inquirer was present at the ruling and gave more details on the court appearance. She tweeted that Nicki told the judge that Meek is "irresponsible" but he's growing up. See her tweets below.
