Mac Miller delivered some bad news for his Aussie and Kiwi fans down under last night (Dec. 22).

On Twitter, the Pittsburgh rapper informed his followers that he regretfully had to postpone his upcoming shows in Australia and New Zealand, citing exhaustion from three months of nonstop touring. Mac had a total of four shows in the two countries that would have taken him into early January.

After posting a few apologetic tweets, Mac's team offered the following statement: "Today, it is with regret that Mac Miller is announcing the cancellation of his upcoming tour dates in New Zealand and Australia. After 3 long months on the road, playing over 70 shows in 90 days, he is postponing his trip due to exhaustion. Mac adds 'Thank you to my loyal fans in Australia and New Zealand for all of the support over the years. I wouldn't want to perform for you unless I was 100% healthy and on top of my game. I promise I will be back to rock with you guys soon.'"

While there is surely mutual disappointment for Mac and his fans, it is good to see him putting his health first. Previous to the release of his album GO:OD AM this year, Mac had been battling with substance abuse and depression, reportedly holing up in his L.A. mansion for weeks. Since then, Mac had moved to New York and was doing much better. Hopefully these postponements are just a minor setback for Mac, as he continues to produce and perform at a high standard.
