ILoveMakonnen dropped two of the better projects of the year with his Drink More Water 5 mixtape and ILOVEMAKONNEN 2 EP and the Atlanta crooner may have even bigger things in store in 2016. A feature story about the singer in PAPER Magazine states that "Makonnen has an upcoming studio session with David Guetta and sessions already in the can with Kanye West and Rick Rubin."

While the news is exciting, it doesn't seem like Makonnen is in a rush to release the music. During the interview, he revealed that he is feeling burnt out after a hectic year of touring, partying and working. "I'm excited to take a break from all of this running around," he said. "I'm looking forward to traveling and enjoying things, because I feel like enjoyment has been taken away. I feel like I just need a call from my mom saying, 'Get home, you need to do some chores before you go out and enjoy some more.' It's been such a party -- drink after drink. All you do is go and change your clothes."

If any music materializes from the studio sessions, it will add to Makonnen's already impressive list of collaborators. Along with Drake, the OVO Sound signee has made music with DJ Mustard, Snoop Dogg, Mike WiLL Made It, Wiz Khalifa and more. The "Tuesday" singer has also recorded heavily with local Atlanta artists and recently dropped the Whip It mixtape alongside Rich The Kid.
