Newly released FBI files reveal that Wu-Tang Clan founders RZA and Raekwon were both investigated for supposed ties to two 1999 murders. Neither rapper was ever charged.

The files link each rapper to the murder of Jerome Estrella, a Staten Island drug dealer known as Boo Boo. One report claims that RZA had put a hit out on Estrella after he allegedly robbed the RZA's brother. The allegations are based off a report by police informant Brian Humphreys who shot and killed Estrella but upon the orders of Anthony and Harvey Christian, who are awaiting sentencing.

According to the Staten Island Advance, the files quote Humphries as saying the following: "A couple of weeks before the Boo Boo shooting, Uncles (the street name of drug supplier-turned-informant Paul Ford) told Humphreys about a Blood named Boo Boo who just came home from jail. He stated that Boo Boo had robbed RZA's little brother and had also gotten into something with the Christian brothers. Uncles was talking about Boo Boo and said that he had just come home and robbed RZA's brother and that they would likely come after him for that. Humphreys believes Uncles was referring to members of Wu Tang."

In a separate file, RZA and Rae are also tied to the murder of Corey Booker, another killed days after Estrella. Similarly, it was alleged that a hit had been placed on Booker after he had robbed RZA's brother and Raekwon's cousin. While Booker's murder remains unsolved, prosecutors maintain that the Christian brothers ordered both hits. In 2012, Ol' Dirty Bastard's FBI file was released; the FBI had also linked ODB to Estrella's murder.

We all knew Wu-Tang was nothing to F with but these reports take that notion to new heights.
