It's a tried-and-true trope in sitcoms or at the dinner table: you can't trust the weatherman; you could do a better job with a magic 8-ball; it's raining again. So it's about time that we got someone with the gravitas and moral authority necessary to bring respect back to meteorology. And we can thank the folks at WLTX 19--the Charleston, SC news team had Waka Flocka Flame deliver an impromptu forecast when he stopped by their station. And while it may have been light on specific, scientific terms (at one point he warns, "Rain, rain, go away, that's what all the haters say"), there's no doubt that viewers on the Southern Atlantic coast feel a bit more informed about their local climate. Flocka has spent much of 2015 angling for new positions in the public sphere, and thus far "TV weatherman" is the only one he's been able to realize. Through four Presidential primary debates--one from the Democrats and three from the Republicans--the Atlanta rapper has yet to be invited, suggesting his White House campaign may have stalled. And that Speaker of the House bid isn't looking too hot, either: On Oct. 29, Paul Ryan was elected to that post. (After initially claiming to have no interest in the job, the Republican from Wisconsin's 1st Congressional district relented.) Flocka's most successful diversification remains his forays into the EDM world, which have won him legions of new fans. With his nascent Flockaveli 2, he hopes to regain the street rap following that vaulted him to fame at the beginning of this decade.
