There's a Future-themed comic floating around on Tumblr and it's pretty cool. Users Que (@visualque) and Pitchfork's Meaghan Garvey (@meaghan_garvey) created Chosen Onea comic book based on the ATL native. In this week's chapter, the creators introduced Ronin Esco (DJ Esco, Future's DJ) plus various clans in the south, two being the Dungeon Clan and the Cash Money Clan from the swamps. Artists such as David Banner, Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent, Chuck D, KRS One, Birdman, Slim and Lil Wayne are featured in the comic. As the comic progresses, there are a few more twists and turns, so it's definitely worth the read. Can you imagine this being featured on The Boondocks?

This isn't the first time we've seen hip-hop and comic books collide. Marvel Comics has been marrying the two more extensively than they have in their history, with recent variant covers dedicated to Run The Jewels, Rae Sremmurd, Birdman, Eminem and, most recently, a series of releases based on iconic hip-hop album covers. We compiled 21 of the company’s recent tributes to hip-hop.

Even in anime and animation, hip-hop's influence have been seen. Samurai Champloo is a anime series that is set in Edo-era Japan and predominantly features hip-hop. Just peep the opening credits.
