A new week, a new Tidal announcement. After news broke last week that the music streaming service was partnering with Brooklyn's Barclays Center, The Hollywood Reporter now reports that Tidal has begun its foray into original television programming.

When Cipha Sounds left Hot 97 back in January, it presumed he would be focusing on his comedy pursuits, and now, the deal he inked with Roc Nation one month later is coming into play. According to THR, Ciph and Tidal will be producing the stand-up comedy series No Small Talk. Five episodes will be available to stream through Tidal today, Nov. 3, with new episodes released each following Tuesday. The first episode will be made available to non-subscribers as well.

No Small Talk will join Money & Violence in Tidal's stable of original programming. The streaming service made major waves last month with its Tidal X: 10/20 concert.  It seems Jay Z's latest business venture is determined to separate itself from other music streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music by extending itself beyond that baseline utility.

Before exiting Hot 97, Cipha Sounds had established himself with the New York City comedy scene through his weekly improv series "Take it Personally," which frequently featured rappers and hip-hop personalities as guests.
