Rumors of Beats Music's imminent demise have been floating around the industry since late last year and Apple has officially announced that they will pull the plug on the project on Nov. 30. Beats Music users were greeted with the following support message today:

Beats Music ends on November 30. Your subscription will be cancelled, but you can move your picks and preference over to Apple Music right now.

All the pros that curated music for you are still crafting more amazing experiences. Plus, on Apple Music, you'll get even better recommendations based on music you already listen to and love, 24/7 global radio with Beats 1, exciting material from your favorite artist and more.

Beats music originally launched in January of 2014 and enjoyed early success, having been named the top app on iTunes by April. But once Beats was bought by Apple in a landmark deal, Apple developed plans to launch its own streaming service, which ultimately became Apple Music. In October of 2014, reports surfaced that Apple had plans to relaunch Beats Music and even bought British analytic company Semetric to help crunch numbers for the relaunch. Once Apple Music debuted in June, however, news of the relaunch went quiet until today's headlines of the termination of Beats Music.
