Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) and Talib Kweli will be reuniting as Black Star for a new tour across Australia and New Zealand. Mos and Kweli will hit four cities starting Oct. 22, wrapping up Oct. 26. Back in the late '90's Talib Kweli and Mos Def teamed up to form the rap duo Black Star. Their debut album, Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star, which dropped in 1998, just celebrated its seventeenth anniversary on Tuesday (Sept. 29). Peep the tour details below:

Oct. 22 2015 Brisbane, Australia Eatons Hill
Oct. 24 2015 Sydne, Australia The Domain
Oct. 25 2015 Melbourne, Australia Myer Music Bowl
Oct. 26 2015 Auckland, New Zealand Western Springs Stadium

It's great to see that Black Star has reunited. It's unfortunate, however, that the tour isn't hitting the states. Over the years, Black Star has only performed together a handful of times and both MCs went their separate ways after their collaborative debut. Bey went on to drop four solo albums, his most recent being 2009's The Ecstatic. As for Talib, he also continued to work in the studio, dropping six solo albums and two collaborative LPs with Hi-Tek as Reflection Eternal. Talib Kweli recently released a new surprise free album titled Fuck The Money in August and just announced that he's planning on releasing a new album with 9th Wonder.
