When he first hit blog rolls at the beginning of the decade, Wiz Khalifa was a promising, laconic rapper who aimed simply to bring Pittsburgh into the national conversation. Now, he’s reached commercial heights that, by some measures, make him one of the most visible rappers in the world. Some time in the last 24 hours, the video for his Charlie Puth-featuring single, “See You Again,” passed the threshold of 1 billion views on Youtube. The song, which was featured in Furious 7 and served as a de facto tribute to the late Paul Walker, who was a star of the franchise, is the tenth to rack up ten digits.

This isn't the first time "See You Again" has hit an impressive milestone. This summer, it wound up tied for the longest reign a hip-hop single has enjoyed atop the Billboard charts. At 12 weeks, it lasted as long as Eminem's "Lose Yourself" and the Black Eyed Peas' "Boom Boom Pow." (Or sort of--the Peas also had "I Gotta Feeling," which was #1 for 14 weeks, but would scarcely be called a rap song. The Mariah Carey-Boyz II Men duet "One Sweet Day" has the record at 16 weeks.) And while Wiz is the first rapper to the primary artist in the billion club, Ludacris appeared on Justin Bieber's "Baby," which currently sits in the third spot. Check the full list below:
