Watch MF Doom and Ghostface Killah Perform

Fans have been waiting for DOOMSTARKS, the nascent full-length Ghostface Killah-MF Doom collaboration, since New York plates was ghetto yellow. By the mid-2000s, buzz for the record had reached a fever pitch, with Doom coming off Madvillain and MM... Food and Ghost leveraging Fishscale to get his swagger back and all that. Unfortunately, the logistics never seemed to work out: As the Wu-Tang legend continues to churn out albums with any number of collaborators, like Canadian jazz trio BadBadNotGood and the producer and instrumentalist Adrian Younge, Doom has been held up by a never-ending string of red tape. The British-born, New York-bred rapper has been stuck overseas for more than half a decade now, apparently unable to move back to the United States.

So if the two are going to perform together, they're going to have to get creative. Apparently, that's just what they did this weekend at Miami's III Points Festival. During Ghost's set, Doom beamed himself in ("live from the other side of time") on the venue's video screen. Clad in New York Islanders jersey, metal face did a quick DJ set before launching into some raps of his own. Though neither MC played any unreleased music, the set could only be seen as a step in the right direction toward putting out some music. The two recently teamed up for "Lively Hood," which was released through Adult Swim's singles series. Check out a series of clips below:
