As former NBA player Lamar Odom continues to recover in following a near-fatal binge-induced coma, many in the hip-hop world have offered support and sent up prayers. Since hip-hop and the NBA seem to intersect more often than not, many rappers have made their feelings on the situation public. The latest MC to comment on Odom's road to recovery is The Game. Mapping out his game plan for Lamar, The Documentary 2 artist told TMZ Sports what Odom's former team, the Los Angeles Lakers, should do to help him get better.

"They should get Lamar better, rehab him a little bit, they should throw him in the gym,"Game said. "The Lakers, Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom would be thorough as ever." Game went on to mention his own coma-to-comeback story from 2001 when he was shot five times and ended up in a three day coma. Ending his tangent with a declarative, Game sais he wants the Lakers to "put Lamar on the team or I don't want to see a game." Watch the videos above

Odom has been hospitalized since last Tuesday after he was found unconscious at the Love Ranch brothel in Las Vegas of a reported drug overdose. News has spread that the 6'10" basketball player's condition is starting to improve with sources close to his family saying he's been awake, speaking and taking his first steps. Odom played on the L.A. Lakers from 2004 to 2011 and married reality TV star Khloe Kardashian in 2009 and though the two were in the process of getting a divorce, Kardashian has been by Odom's side since the incident. Kardashian released her first official statement today on the matter via her website. "I am so thankful to family, friends, and fans, who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar," the 31-year-old wrote. "You can never be prepared for an experience like this, but without the outpouring of love and endless prayers that Lamar has received and the strength I was given from my loved ones, it would have been difficult to endure. Thank you for your continued support. God is great!!!"

Master P has spoken out against the Kardashians and Kobe Byrant, calling them phony and claiming Lamar was "blackballed" off the team. Kobe responded to P on Twitter, which then prompted the hip-hop mogul to clarify his comments. Prayers up to Lamar.
