Looking for that extra umph at the gym? How about a little added boost to complete the last mile of that run? Well, according to British scientists, listening to Eminem while working out will result in a 10% increase in performance. Could it be the rapid fire flows or high octane concepts? The report finds that Eminem's tempo, rhythm and confrontational lyrics result in a "highly motivational edge" that helps to increase both power and endurance.

The study monitored the effect different genres and tracks had on swimmer Ben Hopper, finding the below songs to have the most potent impact.

1. "Lose Yourself" - Eminem
2. "Not Afraid" - Eminem
3. "Don't You Worry Child" - Swedish House Mafia
4. "Hall of Fame" - The Script
5. "Remember the Name" - Fort Minor

Noticeably missing: "Till I Collapse," which should be on any and all workout playlists regardless of taste or preference. (Feeling skeptical? Here's unequivocal beast The Rock putting your workout to shame while listening.)

The study also found Bob Marley to be among those artists who prompted a decrease in speed and output, with "Three Little Birds" topping the list of Songs to Avoid for Optimum Performance.
