Talk about killing a vibe. Scarface was arrested following the taping of the 2015 BET Awards in Atlanta. According to ATL's 11Alive the legendary Southern MC was taken into custody shortly after receiving an award on charges of non-payment of child support.

The arrest put a dampen on what should have been a great night for the former Geto Boy. Right before his arrest, he was awarded with the prestigious "I Am Hip-Hop" trophy which was presented by Ludacris, Rick Ross and others. "It's definitely an honor," Scarface said before the show. "I've learned from the best. I've had the best teachers in the game." Upon receiving his award a grateful Uncle Face remarked, "I'm not (expletive) without y'all."

This isn't the rapper's first time dealing with a child support issue. Back in 2010, Face was locked up behind unpaid child support. He served 10 months in jail after a judge ruled that he owed $123,000. He later claimed the charges were a money ploy by his child's mother who was only seeking support for their child, who is an adult, because required payment is no longer valid by law.

“It was an experience that I like to touch on and not dwell on,” he said in 2012. “It was a learning experience, and my advice to any father out there is that if you send anything, you send it through the courts. That’s the best way to do, because at the end of the day, you not gonna get no credit for it.”

This is a setback for the rapper who recently put out his 12th studio album Deeply Rooted, which comes on the heels of the release of his biography, Diary of a Madman: The Geto Boys, Life, Death, and the Roots of Southern Rap which chronicles his rise to fame and the drama that came along with it.
