A note to fans and day walkers alike seeking a celebrity-featured photo opportunity: be certain who you're posing with. A North Carolina woman, for instance, saw a dread locked young rap star at the mall and assumed it was Chicago's own Chief Keef. "So glad I got to meet @ChiefKeef" she posted on Twitter yesterday (Oct. 25) evening alongside a picture of Swae Lee, one half of Rae Sremmurd.

The slip up is reminiscent of a 2012 news reporter who mistakenly identified Will.i.am as both Wale and Wyclef Jean before correcting the error. It seems the public at large might need a tip sheet for dreaded musicians or simply an in-the-know friend who can determine what two different people look like. The Twitter user paid for her mistake an explosive online aftermath (see below).

Rae Sremmurd plans on releasing their new album later this year. Their debut album SremmLife dropped ib 2014. During an interview at the BET Awards, the two claimed that they were looking at a Dec. release date. “New album coming in like December,” said Swae Lee. “We got a few collabs dropping. We just dropped that ‘Blase‘ with Ty Dolla $ign and Future on it. We bout to drop ‘Burn Slow’ with Wiz Khalifa…These aren’t even on the album, these are just random songs we’re about to drop.” The other half of Rae Sremmurd, Slim Jxmmy, recently hopped on the Mike WiLL Made-It produced single "Burn Slow." We spoke to the duo about their rockstar life.
