Migos’ Offset Tries to Convince Judge He Is Not a Gang Member

Migos member Offset has been locked up in Bulloch County Jail in south Georgia since April on felony drug possession and gun charges, stemming from an arrest during a concert a Georgia Southern University. His past requests to be released on bond haven't exactly gone as planned. But the Atlanta rapper and his attorney Charles Mittelstadt aren't giving up the good fight.

Offset, born, Kiari Kendrell Cephus, has previously been denied bond because of his criminal past and alleged gang affiliations. But recently Set has been trying to convince the judge to let him go because he has been wrongly pegged as a gang member. According to TMZ, the judge in the case thinks Set's Black Migos Gang tattoo is a sign of gang ties. The rapper is arguing that that information is wrong and BMG is only a record label not a continuing criminal enterprise. The Migos member pleaded his case to a judge on Friday (Oct. 9) in his latest bond hearing, but still remains locked up for the time being.

While Offset has been incarcerated he's missed out on all the fun. But the Free Offset campaign has been alive and well. The group released their debut album Yung Rich Nation in July, which he had to celebrate from behind bars. The group put out their most recent mixtape Back To The Bando last month. They recently announced an upcoming collab mixtape titled Migo Thuggin' with fellow ATLien Young Thug is on the way. Despite Offset's months long incarceration, the group has already completed their sophomore LP.

The next objective is to free the third amigo.
