Kendrick Lamar took to Instagram to announce an intimate eight-city show run. Billed as the first annual "Kunta's Groove Sessions" tour (we'll let the typo slide), Kendrick teased the run as "8 cities. 8 nights, 8 intimate shows." No word on dates or cities but it wouldn't be too far-fetched to think that his upcoming concert at Washington D.C.'s Kennedy Center will be part of the tour. On Oct. 20, Lamar will perform cuts from his To Pimp a Butterfly album at the Kennedy Center with the National Symphony Orchestra as the backing band. Tickets made available to Kennedy Center members last week sold out immediately.

Last March, Nas graced the stage at the Kennedy Center as part of his Illmatic 20th anniversary victory lap. Like Lamar will be, Nas was backed by a 40-piece orchestra and brought DJ Green Lantern along to cut, scratch and mix during the performance. Nas sold out both nights he performed at the esteemed venue.
