A Lil Durk concert in Philadelphia was cancelled last night (September 4) after a man was shot and killed outside the venue. The Chicago rapper was scheduled to perform at the Theater of Living Arts at 7 p.m. as part of his Remember My Name Tour. But by 8:20 the show had yet to start. According to NBC Philadelphia, around this time, a gunman opened fire on South Street striking a 25-year old man in the abdomen. The victim was taken to nearby Hahnemann University Hospital where he later succumbed to his wounds.

According to information gathered by Chief Inspector Scott Small, a scuffle was heard in the vicinity of the theater followed by three gunshots. After the shots, the victim was seen lying on the ground bleeding. The shooting suspect reportedly fled the scene in a limo which was later stopped officers. The three occupants in the vehicle were taken in for questioning. Officers also recovered a handgun. No one has been charged with the crime as of press time.
