Logic revealed that he will be dropping his sophomore album The Incredible True Story this fall. Last October the Maryland native released his debut album, Under Pressure, and it debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, selling 72,000 copies in its first week of release. He made the announcement about his forthcoming album through a video trailer shot by Nick Mahar. It features the former XXL Freshman wearing his signature NASA bomber jacket while using an Akai MPC player. The trailer also teased that a "motion picture Sci-Fi epic" is accompanying the album. That presumably is referencing to some type of visuals. The YouTube page states that the motion picture will star Logic, Steve Blum (as Thomas), Kevin Randolph (as Kai), Anna Elyse Palchikoff (as Thalia). It also says that Logic directed the film.

The Def Jam Records and Visionary Music Group signee has been relatively quiet over the last couple of months. He teamed up PRyhme (hip-hop duo that consists of Royce da 5’9″ and DJ Premier) for "Mode," which is a record off of the soundtrack for the Antoine Fuqua-directed film Southpaw. He was also featured on the Lil Durk's “Tryna’ Tryna’” that's off of Remember My Name. He spoke to us in March about the life after his debut album. No I.D., the executive producer for Under Pressure, spoke to us for our 2014 Winter Issue about what he saw in Logic that made him special.

“From a skill level, he’s one of the best young rappers I’ve met,” No I.D. says. “His perspective and circumstances are unique. He cares about the historic perspective of how he does his music and laid down the foundation of who he really is on his first album. He’s earned the level of respect that comes when we know where you came from and what you love.” Read our full Logic feature here.
