Kanye West's industrial 2013 album, Yeezus, proved divisive with fans--where the Chicagoan was once known for pitched-up soul samples and everyman raps, he was now dabbling in drill and house and sexually explicit Civil Rights metaphors. But even before the mp3s trickled into the world, some were up in arms over the news that one song would be called "I Am a God." Combined with the album title, some felt that the religious overtones (combined with West's famously outsized ego) were just a little bit too much. That crowd will be unhappy with this latest bit of news: According to TMZ, Kanye and his wife, Kim Kardashian, are expecting their second child on December 25, Christmas day.

That baby, expected to be a boy, will join North (or Nori), who celebrated her second birthday this summer. His parents remain two of the most famous entertainers in the world: His mother is from the first family of women who control their reality-television narratives, having clawed her way up from also-ran socialite to a force in fashion and innumerable other industries. His father, of course, is still one rap's biggest stars, despite a 2015 that has become so quiet as to frustrate pieces of his massive fan base.  His forthcoming seventh album, tentatively called Swish, was expected when he dropped the trio of singles "Only One," "FourFiveSeconds" and "All Day." However, he has recently indicated that his fashion lines have taken precedence, and that the record might yet be a year away.
