After a hiatus, Mac is back and releasing his GO:OD AM album on Sept. 18. While up on The Breakfast Club, the rapper credited his family for helping him get sober and focus on making music.

“It was time to clean my act up and get back to work,” said Miller. “[I had] to accept my responsibilites and who I am and what I gotta do…I had a lot of people around me who care about me and I was good…I didn’t go to rehab. I just had to get my shit together and go back to work, I was being dumb. For me, I thought it was my right as a human to say I didn’t want to do anything. I didn’t feel like touring, I didn’t feel like putting out an album out…I was making a lot of music and I got comfortable in this zone where I was like, I don’t need to bring any money in, I got money….Then I realized I hadn’t put anything out and I decided it was time to come back.

“I used drugs to do everything, to brush my teeth (laughs)…I have a lot of people around me that care about me….My mom didn’t know and I just told her the truth…After I broke it down for everyone, it made it that much harder to come back because everyone was like, Are you okay? I’m not on some born-again Christian shit.”

The Pittsburgh native has dropped a video for "100 Grandkids," a collab with the late Sean Price and a new track called "Break the Law" since announcing his album.
