Today, Aug. 14, is the birthday of Detroit rapper and producer, Black Milk, who now turns 35.

As one of Detroit's most sought after contemporaries, Curtis Cross, better known as Black Milk, has worked with Danny Brown, Elzhi, Sean Price, Bishop Lamont, Royce 5’9″, Random Axe , Wiki, BADBADNOTGOOD and not good. His first professionally produced song was on Slum Village's 2002 album, Trinity (Past, Present, Future) and the multi-instrumentalist is a skilled drummer, piano player and DJ.

Milk has dropped six albums from 2005 to present, his most recent being 2014's psychedelic If There's A Hell Below which reached No. 40 on the Billboard R&B and hip-hop charts. Earlier this year, he dropped off his Fever album, giving fans a sizable dose of everything they've come to love about this D-Town dynamo. Here's to getting more new heat from him in the near future.
