Fans flipped out when Fetty Wap trotted out on stage with Taylor Swift, but it wasn't all for show. The New Jersey rapper, who performed his massive hit "Trap Queen" with Swift at her tour stop in Seattle, recently told Big Boy that the 1989 singer gave him some sage advice for a long, lucrative career in the music industry. Hopefully he can put it to good use, as he finally has a release date for his debut album. According to ABC, the one-eyed wonder will drop his record next month, on September 25. (The news outlet points out that this is just days before the cut-off for 2016 Grammy eligibility.) However, Karen Civil points out after talking to his manager that the date is only tentative. XXL has reached out to Fetty's reps to confirm release date.

To this point, Fetty has been a sort of curiosity; the 2015 XXL Freshman has two of the biggest hits in the country--and a third that's getting some traction, making him a Billboard star of the highest order--yet doesn't have a full-length work to speak of. Instead, he's kept up a steady stream of new loosies on his Soundcloud account.

Beyond "Trap Queen" and "My Way"'s chart dominance, Fetty has spilled out into nearly every crevice of pop culture. Just this week, the AL Central-leading Kansas City Royals invited him out for the day, letting the rapper take batting practice and greet fans. This came after the team's beat reporters realized that players were sneaking the numbers "17" and "38" into as many interview answers as possible, and fining their teammates who failed to do so. As high-profile relationships go, Fetty has also hinted that he has something big coming with Drake.
