Anyone with even intermittent access to TV, radio or the Internet could tell you that Fetty Wap is enjoying a tremendous commercial run. The 2015 XXL Freshman has been welcomed by the Kansas City Royals to run on the field, take batting practice and be a permanent part of their post-game interviews; Taylor Swift invited the New Jersey native to perform with her at a 1989 tour stop in Seattle. But now, with his debut album slated to drop next month, we finally have a way to quantify that popular appeal. According to Billboard, Fetty is the first artist in the 26-year history of the Hot Rap Songs chart to have his first four singles hit the Top 10 simultaneously. In fact, he has half of the top eight: "Again" hits that #8 spot, with the Remy Boyz-featuring "679" at #5, "My Way" at #3 and "Trap Queen" holding strong in the second spot.

Either other acts have had four singles in the Top 10 at the same time, but never on their first four chart entries. The last time an MC had four concurrent Top 10s as a lead artist was in 2009, when T.I.'s Paper Trail singles were serving as commercial juggernauts. At the time, the Just Blaze-produced, Rihanna-featuring "Live Your Life" was #1, followed by "Whatever You Like" at #4, Lil Wayne, Jay Z and Kanye West collaboration "Swagger Like Us" at #8, and the Justin Timberlake-assisted "Dead and Gone" at #9. The others who have made four appearances in the elite group are 50 Cent, T-Pain, Drake, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Eminem and Iggy Azalea.
