Birdman is denying allegations that he masterminded the plot to kill Lil Wayne, saying even Weezy knows he wouldn't go that far. Despite implications from the alleged shooter that the Cash Money CEO might have been involved somehow, Baby is saying he has already met with his former protege since the incident and assured him his hands are clean. According to TMZ, Birdman says "No legal battle would ever make me try and kill or hurt my son."

Well, there you have it. Case closed. Right? The evidence in the case, however circumstantial, paints a different picture. Back in April Tunechi's tour bus was shot at after leaving Compound nightclub in Atlanta. The suspect in the shooting, Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, who has ties to Young Thug, later turned himself in for the crime and was charged with aggravated assault, making terrorist threats, possession of a firearm by a felon and criminal gang activity. In the indictment of the incident, Winfrey is said to have made calls to phones owned by Young Thug and Birdman immediately before and after the shooting. Birdman denied involvement

While currently in jail Winfrey has reportedly been talking even more about Baby's involvement in the crime. According to court documents Winfrey is saying the Rich Gang head honcho is partially responsible for the shooting, as he reportedly told authorities, “[Birdman's] financial dispute with [Lil Wayne] is what ultimately led to the shooting…[Birdman] should be held liable as a party to the crime.”

Birdman said, in a recent interview with Angie Martinez, his beef with Birdman isn't as bad as the media perceives it to be. We'll see if this plays out in court.
