A co-sign in rap from a big artist can go a long way. But a co-signature from the self professed "greatest living rock star" who also happens to be from your hometown is really worth getting excited over. Chance The Rapper almost passed out from the euphoria after Kanye West shouted him out during one of Yeezus' shows at the Ottawa Bluesfest on Friday (July 10).

Both MCs were on the bill at the concert where they performed in front of a large crowd of 25,000 plus. During West's set, the G.O.O.D. Music boss plays one Chance's tunes and says, "I had to put that on because Chance is here tonight. Make some noise for him. One of the most talented young new artists." An elated Chance goes absolutely crazy after the plug, slapping the stage, pumping his fists and screaming, "that's all I needed!" All we need is a new CTR and Kanye collab, stat. This could have gotten the ball rolling.

Shoutouts aside, Chance has had a lot to be ecstatic about recently. It was recently reported, he will star in the new film Slice which is describe as a "feature-length no holds barred action-packed thrill ride." Following the release of his album Surf with Donnie Trumpet and The Social Experiment, the Chicago MC has plans to drop a new solo single in the near future titled "Paradise. “It’s a song about being grateful, and it’s a song about celebration and it’s a song about the word," he said of the track. "It’s always been a song that we only perform live–I’ve been touring for a year now. It’s releasing soon, it’s the first single.” He is also getting his own personalized Helles-style lager called No Collar. Winning!
