While allegations of ghostwriting once spelled the end of a rapper's career (or at least their credibility), Drake seems to be sidestepping any serious outcry. After Meek Mill accused the Toronto MC of having outside help, a slew of reference tracks surfaced, with an Atlanta artist named Quentin Miller rapping near-identical versions of songs from If You're Reading This It's Too Late (plus "R.I.C.O." from Meek's own Dreams Worth More Than Money). Drake responded with a pair of diss tracks, "Charged Up" and "Back to Back," neither of which addressed the claims head-on. Still, if the court of public opinion is to be believed, Drake has emerged relatively unscathed. Except, that is, in the eyes of Philadelphia residents. TMZ caught up with Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks, who told the outlet he had just heard "Back to Back." "Meek Mill is loved in Philly, bro," the Cal alum said. "He definitely runs Philly. For sure."

Though Kendricks suggested that Drake might have trouble moving through the city for a while ("I wonder how it's gonna be if Drake tries to come and perform there"), he also noted that the music industry is built on collaboration, and speculated that the feud might simply be promotion for Drake's new album. That nascent LP, Views From the 6, has been teased for nearly a year now, though there's little concrete evidence to suggest it's anywhere close to finished. Meek is currently on tour with his girlfriend (and Drake's Young Money label mate) Nicki Minaj as she supports December's The Pinkprint.
