Cops Believe Club Promoters Robbed Chris Brown’s Home

Early yesterday morning (July 15), three armed men broke into Chris Brown's California home and held his aunt at gunpoint as they ransacked the house. The robbers told Brown's aunt that they knew whose home it was, and that they'd been specifically targeting him; that information may prove valuable now, as authorities believe they have a lead. According to TMZ, law enforcement sources say that the police are searching for someone who knew that Brown had just received a $50,000 club appearance payment in cash, and that they were honing in on that unusual haul. The source says the three men mentioned the figure to Brown's aunt. In another TMZ report, a different police source is quoted as saying that authorities believe Brown was tailed home from a club on the night of the robbery.

In light of these events, Nia Guzman, the mother of Brown's daughter, Royalty, claims that the toddler is not safe around Brown and his hangers-on. Sources close to Guzman tell TMZ that she believes the singer and many of those who spend time around him are gang-affiliated, and the environment is unfit for a child. Brown has recently filed paperwork with a judge in hopes of ironing out a formal custody agreement, as he feels he's not being given due time with his daughter. At the end of last month, reps from Brown's camp announced that the singer has a new album scheduled for the fall.
