Rick Ross has been arrested in Fayette County, Georgia, reports local outlet WSB-TV. The newly svelte rapper was driving a Bentley with windows that were allegedly tinted to an illegal degree. Police officers pulled over the car, and when Ross rolled down the window, officers say they smelled marijuana. They then searched the Bentley and reported finding weed in the car. At press time, Ross was being processed in the Fayette County jail. It wasn't immediately clear what charges the rapper would face, if any. Almost exactly one year ago, the Def Jam rapper was arrested in North Carolina for failing to appear in court to address a misdemeanor marijuana charge. After performing at Greensboro's SuperJam Music Festival, he was taken into custody and later released on $1,000 bail. XXL will continue to have updates as new information about the Georgia case becomes available.

Ross burst onto the rap scene in 2006 with Port of Miami and its massive lead single, "Hustlin'." He became a consistent commercial performer during Jay Z's tenure as head of Def Jam, a status that would secure him high production budgets and tremendous media attention as he came into his own creatively. Deeper Than Rap and Teflon Donreleased in 2009 and 2010, respectively, established him as a critical force as well as a popular one. Ross is known for his keen ear for beats, husky voice and distinctive ad-libs. Last year, he carried his label on his back, dropping two LPs (Mastermind and Hood Billionaire) in quick succession.

Update: The Fayette County Sheriff's Department has released Rozay's mugshot, which you can see below.
