2Pac will be portrayed in the upcoming N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton and he will be played by actor Marcc Rose. Check out the striking resemblance in the photo above. On what would have been the late rapper's 44th birthday (June 16),  Ice Cube posted the photo below, reading, "Happy Birthday to the homie Tupac. Shooting the Tupac scene for Straight Outta Compton today, the stars are aligned." The post was pretty vague, but EW confirmed the news with an Universal spokesperson and despite rumors, Rose is not currently attached to Carl Franklin’s Tupac biopic,

Straight Outta Compton will hit theaters on Aug. 14. In a recent interview, Ice Cube recently announced N.W.A (sans Dr. Dre) will reunite and be joined by Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q in Los Angeles on June 27 for the BET Experience concert.

However, things recently haven't been going so smoothly for the film and it's executive producers. MC Ren vented on Twitter after he was left out completely in the films trailer. The Compton rapper lets out his frustrations, airing out Universal Pictures and threatening not to promote the film. “Man fuck these bitches at universal pictures leaving me out the movie trailers tryin to rewrite history,” he said.

Also along with Suge Knight, Ice Cube and Dr. Dre were named in a wrongful death lawsuit by Terry Carter's family. In the lawsuit obtained by TMZ, the Carter family claims that Cube and Dre hired known gang members in the area for security for Straight Outta Compton‘s film shoots.
