Diddy’s New Album Drops Next Month
Diddy's Money Makin Mitch album is set to drop on June 29. The mogul took to Instagram to make the announcement by posting a picture of Michael Jordan with the "June 29" date written and the hashtags #FACT and #MMM. Diddy has been teasing Money Makin Mitch since early 2014, first by saying that he is reverting back to Puff Daddy for the project then announcing French Montana as the Executive Producer.
The announcement is a bit peculiar considering Diddy made no mention of the project in an interview with Billboard from earlier this week. “I’m going back in the studio now. I’m producing other people now. That’s how I started, producing," Diddy told the magazine. "So I’m just in there having fun and really just experimenting with some things. But being able to launch new artists or artists that want a different sound for their next album – it’s exciting to get back into producing.” It's more than likely that Diddy was just being savvy with the media and making sure that the album news came directly from him instead of an outside source.
Artists, collaborators and friends like Vic Mensa and Mario Winans have shown support with Instagram posts of their own. This is Diddy's first full-length album since 2010's Last Train to Paris project with Dirty Money.
