A man in New Jersey is accusing DMX of robbing him of thousands of dollars at a Exxon parking lot in Newark, early this morning. Newark police were called shortly after midnight by a man informing them of the crime, reports NJ.com. According to him, he encountered Dark Man X and his entourage and approached the rapper. "The two had a brief conversation about rap music and during the conversation a male in DMX's entourage, showed the victim a gun and demanded the victim's money," Newark police spokesman Sgt. Ronald Glover said in a statement. The victim claims he was relieved of $3,200 by the rapper who snatched money out of his hand before fleeing in a convoy of four black Cadillac Escalades. The man reports he followed X's caravan and was able to jot down a license plate which he turned over to authorities.

At this point this situation is strictly an allegation. The investigation is in it's early stages and the identity of the assailant has yet to be confirmed by authorities who would not report on whether the license plate traced back to the Yonkers MC. X was slated to be in Jersey Saturday night (Apr. 4) performing at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. No arrests have been made and no criminal charges have been filed. XXL has reached out to DMX's representatives but have not received a statement as of press time.
