Chandler Jones wants Kendrick Lamar to be the global ambassador for the New England Patriots.

After seeing K-Dot rock a throwback Patriots' jacket in the "King Kunta" video, the Pats defensive end decided Kendrick should take the spot. Jones is trying to speak with owner Robert Kraft about bringing the To Pimp a Butterfly rapper on board. The role will be like the one Drake holds with the Toronto Raptors and Wale with the Washington Wizards. The difference here? Kendrick isn't from the New England area.

"It would be really cool,"  Jones said while speaking with TMZ. "I'm a huge fan of his and a lot of people on my team are too."

Chandler is pretty sure he can convince Kraft to go for the idea. "I've seen [Kraft] in a lot of photos with iconic rappers like Rick Ross and artists like Usher. I would say he’s a very hip hop owner, so I‘m just saying he wouldn’t mind some Kendrick," he said.

On the music scene, producer Sounwave recently shared that over 80 songs were recorded for Kendrick's sophomore LP. The ones that made the cut continue to lure fans and the project remained the No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 for two consecutive weeks. Aside from the success of To Pimp a Butterfly, Kendrick has more to be excited about. He recently announced that he's engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Whitney Alford.
