Killer Mike will be the latest hip-hop musician to grace the halls of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as the gangsta rapper/activist is scheduled to lecture at the prestigious school on Friday (April 24). The Run The Jewels member will speak as a part of the school's "Hip-Hop Speaker Series." The subject of the chat will be "Race Relations in the U.S."

The Atlanta rapper is no stranger to speaking on race issues in a public forum. He recently penned an OP-ED piece honoring famed revolutionary Martin Luther King Jr. and his legacy. In December, he appeared on CNN to discuss the implications of the grand jury's decision not to charge Darren Wilson in the death of Mike Brown. He appeared on Power 105's The Breakfast Club last August and stressed the need for Americans to protect their constitutional rights. We even got the ATL luminary to speak his mind on the biggest stories of 2014.

Mike isn't the first MC to speak at the esteemed institute of higher learning. Last November, Lil B dropped knowledge on the students and staff about everything from art, the workforce, GMOs, photosynthesis and Based God’s Curse. Last March, legendary audio engineer and DJ, Gimel “Young Guru” Keaton spread his knowledge on a lecture about design and technology.
