Following the announcement that he would be returning to the production world--albeit for a limited time and only with a carefully picked group of rappers--Diddy has dropped another bombshell. The Bad Boy founder announced on his Instagram that Kanye West has joined The Hitmen, his longtime production team that was responsible for the bulk of work by Bad Boy stars like Mase and The Notorious B.I.G. Kanye will team up with Chucky Thompson, Steven "Stevie J" Jordan, Mario Winans, Nashiem Myrick and Deric "D-Dot" Angelettie, who served as West's mentor during the early stages of his career. Together, the crew will help Diddy finish Making Money Mitch, his first album since 2010's Last Train to Paris.

As for Kanye's other ventures, what's already been a busy year is ramping up to be even more chaotic. The Chicago native graces the cover of this week's Time magazine as one of the world's 100 most influential people--his entry is written by the ever-innovative Elon Musk. And while his Adidas line is causing ripples throughout the fashion world, West is shifting his focus back to the medium that started it all. His seventh solo album, So Help Me God has yet to receive an official release date, but is expected to drop some time in the coming weeks. His most recent single, "All Day," features longtime collaborator Theophilus London and St. Paul up-and-comer Allan Kingdom in a grime-tinged, politically-charged cut that credits Diddy among its many producers. The other solo song Kanye released this year, "Only One," was co-written with Paul McCartney.
