The Sony hack last December in which thousands of emails and documents from the massive international conglomerate leaked to the world shook up a slew of industries. But overall, that leak largely skipped over the music industry, despite the fact that Sony is one of the three major labels still operating, with Epic, Columbia, RCA and more under their massive umbrella.

Instead, the center of the leak focused on the company's film division, with Sony Pictures Entertainment Chairwoman Amy Pascal taking the brunt of the blow. But last week, Wikileaks got hold of 30,000 documents from the leak and published them in the form of a searchable database that makes it fairly simple to navigate using keywords and searches. Since then, the database has provided a slew of new information and stories as people begin sifting through the massive amount of information.

Such as the fact that Kanye West's creative team DONDA had reached out to Pascal last August interested in working with Sony on a new project. In an email with the subject line "Kanye West / Collaboration," Elon Rutberg, currently serving as the head of Media/Content Creative Direction & Creative Coordination at DONDA, asked Pascal if she would be interested in working together on a feature length film.

"[W]e have a major film project coming up that involves both cinematic and technological innovation, so I naturally thought of Sony and wanted to reach out," the email reads. "We premiered a multi-screen cinema experience to great response at Cannes 2012, and are looking to take the storytelling to the next level with a feature length film, shot for an immersive cinema experience."

Given what he was asking—and that he mentioned later Sony's position "at the forefront of...curved screen consumer technology"—DONDA seems to be venturing into wide screen storytelling, which uses a curved screen to give off that "immersive" experience Rutberg alludes to. As far as XXL could find, Pascal never responded to Rutberg's email, though he also provided a phone number which would have taken the conversation beyond the scope of the leak.

Either Sony handled it that way—unlikely due to the presumed complexity of the project—Pascal passed, DONDA found another company to partner with or they never pursued the project in the end. But either way, DONDA's creative vision could be gracing the world of feature films in the near future, not a totally left-field idea since Kanye has said in the past he'd like the company to become the next Disney. And that would be a formidable sight.
