The only two rappers employed by NBA teams have been confirmed to play the Landmark Music Festival September 26 and 27 on the National Mall in Washington, DC. The Toronto Raptors' Drake will headline, and Wale, of the hometown Wizards--who recently swept Toronto in the first round of the NBA playoffs--will also perform. Both MCs have had wildly successful years so far: The "Trophies" superstar broke Spotify streaming records (later surpassed by Kendrick Lamar) for his surprise February album, If You're Reading This It's Too Late. That record recently received a retail release, complete with two never-before-heard songs. As for Wale, the Seinfeld-obsessed rapper topped the charts last month with his Album About Nothing, with extensive appearances from Jerry Seinfeld himself.
