Rico Love's list of songwriting and production credits is extensive with over a decade in the game working with big time acts. On May 19, Love will get his chance to shine with his debut album Turn The Lights On. With 12 tracks and limited features the producer/writer/singer will show once and for all that he is as talented in front of the mic as he is behind the boards.

When Love stopped by the XXL office back in Feb., he explained that Turn The Lights On is a concept album about the ups and downs of a married couple. "[Artists] tell stories that people can’t relate to,” Love said.  “You should feel something on every record.” Each of the 12 songs on the project tells a piece of the story. "The Proposal" touches on the reasons why people get engaged and "The Affair" tells a love story between a married man and a woman he met while on vacation. Love's experience with writing love songs--and songs about cheating--dates back to Usher's 2004 album Confessions, the project where Love got his break as a writer. The artist has also written for the likes of A$AP Rocky, Beyonce, Nelly, B.o.B, T.I. and Wiz Khalifa.
