MTV sent out a report announcing that the channel has achieved its highest-rated quarter in nearly two decades and is continuing the rise with new shows including Uncommon Sense with Charlamagne tha God and Kingin' With Tyga.

According to a press release, Uncommon Sense will be an eight-episode, half-hour comedy talk show hosted by The Breakfast Club's Charlamagne tha God. The show will feature Charlamagne and a panel of comedians putting their own spin on the week's biggest social media topics. The radio host has worked with MTV2 in the past, starring in shows like Guy Code and Charlamagne and Friends.

Word of Tyga's show leaked back in January and has finally been confirmed by MTV. According to the network, the six episode, half-hour series Kingin' With Tyga will give an inside look into the life of the rapper. The show will follow Tyga and his friends as they "attempt over-the-top stunts and indulge in a lavish lifestyle made famous by his Instagram account." According to TMZ, Kingin' With Tyga will not focus on the rapper's controversial love life and the show is more like the network's Fantasy Factory. TMZ also reports that Chris Brown has already shot a segment for the show.

MTV2 will also be bringing back a revamped version of the Celebrity Deathmatch series. Popular during the late '90s and early-to-mid '00s, the claymation show features fantasy fights between celebrity figures. The show has been off the air since 2007.
