Suge Knight collapsed in court today after he was informed that his bail would be set at $25 million. In video footage obtained by TMZ, the former Death Row Records boss folded over in his seat, apparently unconscious, after the judge read the figure. At that time, two court officers rushed to his side, directing a third out of the frame--presumably to find medical help. Knight has pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted murder stemming from a January incident in which he allegedly killed one man and severely injured another with his car after an altercation on the set of Straight Outta Compton, the forthcoming N.W.A. biopic.

After Suge fainted and was revived, his lawyer argued to the judge that the bail was not only excessive, but made a mockery of the system, seeing as Knight was, not "a billionaire." He also made two references to the Fox drama Empire, alleging that the prosecution was not living in the real world and comparing his client to Terrence Howard's fictional character.

When it was first reported that the prosecution would be seeking such an exorbitant bail, allegations also surfaced that Knight had been extorting rappers and athletes who hoped to work in Los Angeles or Las Vegas. That same report also claimed that the mogul has laundered more than $10 million since 2002. Knight claims that he was acting in self defense when he ran over the two men, a claim that might be supported by Cle "Bone" Sloan' statement to police that he "fucked [Knight] up."
