South by South West (SXSW) is right around the corner and announcements regarding the week-long Austin, Texas music festival are rolling in. According to SXSW's site, Snoop will host a conversation that is free to all Music and Platinum registrants and showcase artists on Friday, March 20 at the Austin Convention Center. While no performance is schedule, with a new Pharrell-produced album on the way, you never know who may pop up or what Snoop has in store. Past SXSW keynote speakers include the RZA, Lady Gaga, Dave Grohl, Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young. SXSW takes place from March 13-22. The full lineup can be seen here.

Over the past few years, SXSW has become a huge platform for hip-hop artists looking for a big break. While bigger artists have infiltrated the indie event, SXSW is still considered a must for any rapper hoping to network and get on stage. This year, Bishop Nehru, GoldLink, Que, iLoveMakonnen, Rae Sremmurd and Earl Sweatshirt are all scheduled for performances. In the past, artists like Kid Cudi, Odd Future, Danny Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Jhene Aiko, G.O.O.D Music, Nas and Damian Marley all left their mark with memorable performances.
