After a long hiatus, T-Pain is finally back with his newest solo offering, a mixtape called The Iron Way. Hosted by DJ Drama, the 21-track set features contributions from The-Dream, Bun B, Big K.R.I.T., Yo Gotti, OG Maco, K. Camp, Migos, Lil Wayne and more. Handling roughly a third of the production duties on his own, T-Pain once again flaunts his diversity of talents, proving himself as an artist that can change and adapt, rather than a relic of a specific era. The Iron Way also features "Disa My Ting," the Kardinal Offishall-featuring single that led off proceedings earlier this year. T-Pain's album, Stoicville: The Phoenix is expected in September of this year.

T-Pain has not released a solo album since 2011, when he dropped Revolver. He initially rose to fame in 2005 off the strength of his debut album, Rappa Ternt Sanga, which sported the hits "I'm Sprung" and "I'm N Luv (Wit a Stripper)." The latter featured Mike Jones, and then Akon, Pimp C, Paul Wall, Twista, MJG, R. Kelly and Too $hort on a subsequent remix. Between 2006 and 2010, T-Pain, known for his signature Autotune sound, was featured on more than 50 charting singles. On Jay Z's 2009 single "Death of Autotune," he chided other rappers, saying they should "Get back to rap/[They're] T-Pain-ing too much."
